Discussion Leader for Automation and SOAR in Microsoft Security CCP
I am excited to share that I have been chosen as the discussion leader for Automation and SOAR within the Microsoft Security CCP.
The Microsoft Security Customer Connection Program or CCP is a place where customers, partners and MVP’s meet with Microsoft Product teams. Here, we are able to discuss on upcoming features, influence future roadmaps and provide general input on the Microsoft Security products.
As Microsoft is merging Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM) and Microsoft Defender (XDR) into one, so is the Customer Connection Program. The program is no longer focused on product specific discussions (Previously, you just had channels for the individuals products), but now it also dives into cross-product discussions such as Automation and SOAR.
Automation has always been a topic close to my heart, as I am enthusiastic about both security and programming. During my day-to-day tasks at The Collective, I am tasked with architecting automation within our Security Operations Center. This automation spans multiple products and multiple tenants. This experience provides an interesting perspective on automating across the stack.
Within the role as discussion leader, I will moderate the channel and and try to ensure people get their questions answered. Besides that, it will also serve as a medium to share knowledge in terms of blog posts, videos and various books.
Discussion leaders as in close contact with the Product Team, which allows us to funnel the feedback we get from multiple customers and partners and provide targeted feedback in terms of the requirements and struggles that organizations are having.
If you haven’t joined the CCP, you can apply to it using the link ‘aka.ms/joinccp‘. The only requirement is that you have an active NDA. Most Microsoft Partners have an NDA active and so does every customers with an Enterprise Agreement. If you aren’t sure whether your organization has an NDA, it’s best to reach out to your primary Microsoft contact.
As part of this engagement, I am also looking forward to bringing new life to my blog. It’s my goal to bring the focus back and regularly create articles about automation within the Microsoft Security stack.
